Walking Together
with Yamanaka Onsen
for 800 Years
A Journey to Experience the Heart of Japanese Local Spirit
Yamanaka Onsen is the hidden retreat just under an hour from Kanazawa,
located along a mountain stream.
Tawaraya is one of the 12 original Japanese ryokans founded in the13th century in Yamanaka Onsen.
Beyond the high-quality hot springs, magnificent nature and the charming streetscape of the onsen town,
guests can savor traditional Kaga kaiseki cuisine served in some local traditional crafts such as Yamanaka lacquerware and Kutani porcelain,
accompanied by local sake.
We aspire to be theshowroom that connects the nature and the culture of Yamanaka Onsen with all who visit.
